I highly recommend a free phone consultation ahead of shooting, so I can get as much information about your goals, provide any advice, and you can have all of your questions answered ahead of shooting.

Make sure both their portfolio of work, and the character and demeanor of the professional themselves, feels comfortable and right for you! A professional should have well-rounded knowledge of the specific type of photography you're looking for, local knowledge of the area to maximize your time at a location, and a complete understanding of your goals in order to be the right person for your needs.
