- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Since 2012, we at Blackstone Massage Therapy Center have been involved with a pilot program in Rhode Island in conjunction with Neighborhood Health and United Health Care bringing massage therapy to medicaid recipients and other covered individuals. For the first time, massage therapy has been a fully covered treatment by these health plans and we are a proud to be part of this new paradigm in healthcare.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a competent massage therapist there is no substitute for experience. Some therapists may have years of practice but still only work part-time, so what counts the most is actual practice hours. In my 20+ years of doing massage, I have completed well over 20,000 hours of paid massage therapy.
