After years of having employers that provided computer technical support, I retired and was left with little understanding of how to do things and an abundance of questions.
I was relieved to find Dawn with Old Dog - New Tricks to answer my questions and teach me computer skills I was missing. Dawn really saved me to set up my home computer system. my printer was particularly challenging but she persevered and it works now! she was very patient and never made me feel so lacking in computer skills. i highly recommend her. great experience. do not be daunted that she helps you remotely. she shared my screen so it was like she was sitting next to me.

I had very little knowledge of computers before I signed up for Teach An Old Dog New Tricks with Dawn Sacco. In just a few weeks I have learned how to download/upload, make a spreadsheet, design a Genealogy worksheet, learn every icon and key, tips on shortcuts and so much more. Dawn is very professional and doesn't make you feel stupid if you ask simple questions. She has the patience of a Saint. She wants you to succeed. Dawn will travel to you if needed. For the question what do you like about Teach An Old Dog New Tricks I would of checked off all 5 of the answers instead of only the 3 alloted. Dawn was very patient with me and made sure I understood before she moved on to the next part of my learning to print label from Google Sheets. Then she went over it another time, then had me go through it one more time by myself to make sure I could do it the next day with no help. She was very thorough and ever so patient!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am currently only offering Remote Sessions via Zoom Meeting with screen sharing. You can be sitting at your kitchen table, in your favorite recliner or even on your porch enjoying the weather - and I can still be helping you with your computer needs. How does that sound? Contact me for rates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I adjust my training to the knowledge level and speed that my client is most comfortable with. It's all about them. I will have handouts and documents for them to keep, and if requested, I will assign homework to be sure they are grasping everything I am teaching them. I do not teach from a book. I do not force my clients to learn things they do not need.
