- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Aboslutely. The RI Bar requires that all attorneys completed a certain number of hours of legal education every year. I make it my practice not only to meet the requirements but to exceed them by constantly researching, attending seminars and enhancing my knowledge of the different areas of the law. the law is ever evolving and it is a must to stay up to date on the current lanscape of the law.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure to meet face to face with the attorney who will be handling your case. Make sure that you are comfortable with him/her and that they clearly understand your concerns and answer your questions. Know up front and get it in writing the nature and scope of representation and the fees that they are charging you. Don't get surprised. Finally make sure that they are available to you and answer phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner. Good communication is key to a successful resolution.
