Introduction: I (Philip S. Keown) am a general contractor licensed in South Carolina and have a limited tier license in Georgia. I am also a Southern baptist pastor who loves to build or remodel churches, commercial buildings and residential homes. I specialize in doing difficult structural jobs that no one else wants to do to and have a structural engineer (Brian Robertson) of Greenwood, SC, that I utilize. What types of customers have you worked with?
Recently finished rebuilding a church that had the roof about to cave in and the walls pushing out. Worked all the engineered components structurally for a safe and new appearance. Used 18" LVL as rafters (33' long about 50), installed in holes in the roof after jacking the entire roof up. Recently repaired a geodesic dome house that had major structural problems. Used many jacks, turnbuckles, and LVLS. This was done with my engineers plan and observance. Just rebuilt a home that had burned by taking off the entire roof structure and all that would be required. Changed several church Sunday school rooms into baths and developed several into handicap. Took out half of the entire floor system of a house down to the ground (rotten wood). And replaced with treated, New French drain, foundation vents.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Please check me out. I am a ordained minister, pastor Lake Russell Baptist (Elbert Co. GA). Could pass any criminal or legal test given. Can give you the names of all the people involved of each job done for as far back as you would want to go. Can give several pages of business and personal references. Have excellent credit and insurance. Call the SC Contractors board and you won't find a single complaint from doing business 40 years. A graduate of USC (marketing) and have Masters from Erskine Seminary. Most of all as 2 Cor 5.17 states I am a "New Creature" since becoming a Christian 25 years ago.
