I am the Executive Chef at Sweetgrass Restaurant on Dataw Island, St Helena Island, Beaufort, SC. I have over 25 years of professional cooking experience, from schools to care facilities, from breakfast to dinner, from diner food to fine dining meals, as well as catering experience with strict attention to detail. My service stands out because I have passion for the menu planning, the cooking, and the fine tuning of the details. It shows in every step I take in preparing each event I present. I take personal pride in my work. You will not be disappointed in the results. update- 6/2018- I now have a few years of self employment under my belt, which has been A LOT of learning based experience. I have learned staples and the very basics, while learning how I want to present my own style of food and presentation. I am lucky enough to have joined with both a Sushi Chef, and a Vegan Chef! their food is outstanding!!! Welcome Aboard Matt and Chaundra!!!
