Mel was very professional and captured beautiful family photographs on the beach. He was extremely patient with my children and gave wonderful directions to create amazing pictures! Mel does great work! I was very pleased with the final product. Despite weather challenges, tired babies and the elements he was awesome! Mel was flexible and a true pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him!

Mel was personable and our portraits turned out pretty well, however I feel as though his talents lie more with adult portraits or landscape photography. I do not feel he was the best fit for our large family with lots of children. He was not quick to snap pictures which is crucial with kids, and did not seem to plan some of the logistic of the shoot well (like starting us in the wet sand facing the sun, then moving to dry sand then back to wet...). I think he is a talented photographer, just not ideal with children.

Melinda, thank you so much for hiring me. Sorry, that things didn't go exactly as you expected. Sometimes when you go on location an area is not working and you have to move to another spot. We got a couple good ones at the initial location and we then moved to another that was close by. Many excellent portraits and candids were made at the 2nd location and by the water. I feel I work very well with children. Initially you said there would be 3 children and we wound up with 7.
