After initially stating that the he'd complete the installation of my kitchen backsplash job in one evening and be able to come back two days later to grout, Mr. Robinson took nearly three weeks to complete the job. That being said, he did not fully complete the job. Prior to beginning the job, Mr. Robinson agreed to tile a border across both bathtubs, stating that it would take no time and be no big deal. He did one not very well and promised he'd return to do the other but never did. Additionally, there are spots where the tile layout is rough. Worst of all, he left sand from the grout accumulated all over the backsplash that we had to go back by hand and painstakingly remove. Mr. Robinson was late each time he told us he was coming on the project, which took several trips. Sometimes he was extremely pleasant and at other times he was obviously agitated and very rude to my wife and myself. We offered him food and drink on several occasions in an effort to be courteous. Even still, he quipped at my wife about "even a slave getting a break to eat." On his next trip, he did apologize "for not acting like himself." He was overall unprofessional and overstated his ability to do the job and severely underestimated his time to do so. That being said, his bid was lower than some others but not much off some other pros so that didn't raise any red flags, but early on we were quite concerned and in the end those concerns were warranted. I allowed a gracious amount of time for the completion of the job and would not have held that again Mr. Robinson if the job had been done well. But even after making a couple of attempts to follow up and his failure to show, it's clearly time to close the matter. He may be skilled in other tile applications, but under no circumstances would I hire Mr. Robinson to work on another job.

Mr. Robinson was incredibly polite and worked very methodically and with very little mess. I am home with all four of my children and he offered very little chaos or disruption into our lives as he worked. My flooring turned out beautiful. My only reason for four instead of five stars is because a few of the tiles were off pattern and I notice. No one else does though. I had some cracking grout (because one of my kids walked on the tile too quickly) and he was quick to come out and fix. His price was very reasonable. I look forward to having him do another job for me and referred him to my parents.
