My Crawl Space was a disaster area with insulation hanging everywhere, debris everywhere, and with a moisture level over 19%. I needed a Full Encapsulation and wanted to get at least three estimates, so I called the usual suspects who were all shockingly expensive.
Then Garett Goff with Blue Collar Moisture Control came by, he took lots of pictures and temperature readings and explained exactly what needed to be done, how long it would take, and gave me a very reasonable price.
He removed existing insulation, vapor barrier and debris.
Performed antimicrobial treatment on all floor joists/subflooring.
Sealed vents, installed 12 mil vapor barriers on all walls and piers; attached with 1/4” wall fasteners.
Installed 16 mil vapor barrier on floors; attached to walls/piers with 4” vinyl seam tape.
Installed Aprilaire E070 dehumidifier with condensation pump (electrical outlet installation needed.) Electrician included in price.
Installed one wood framed PVC access door.
This installation came with a 2-year warranty/service agreement.
I am very pleased with the work done and with the professionalism of Blue Collar Moisture Control. Garett works alone, which keeps the price down. He takes a little longer than the others, but so what – it’s a crawl space. He’s not in the house. Garett is a dedicated professional, a perfectionist, and works hard to achieve perfection.
I highly recommend him.
