Chef Laurie and Assistant Rob were wonderful. On time, pleasant, organized. We were a group of 19 women and we didn't have to lift a finger. Rob set the table with linens and the fruit, scones and jams were presented beautifully on the table. The made to order omlettes were delicious! Everyone was pleased!Oct 29, 2018Verified
What a wonderful experience we had with Chef Laurie. She was very responsive and helpful in creating our menu before our dinner. She arrived on time, set up a wonderful table, and made us an absolutely delicious meal! If I'm ever back in the Charleston area and need a chef, I know who to call.Apr 23, 2017Verified
I was not prepared to write a review when I received this request, but I know that if I don't do it now, it will probably not happen. It's important for me to acknowledge that Chef Laurie was a true professional and went beyond my expectations. From planning our menu to completion, every detail was handled perfectly. You will not be disappointed, I promise you!Nov 24, 2016Verified

Chef Laurie is awesome! She's so personable yet professional and takes pride in providing her clients with top notch ingredients. She accommodated my two picky eaters perfectly, which can be a challenge while planning a dinner party. Chef Laurie gave us a southern experience while ensuring our meal was healthier than the norm (without requesting). She even provided cloth napkins and placemats knowing we most likely didn't have these items at a hotel. Her shrimp and grits were outstanding and an amazing first experience for many of us. Clean up was impeccable. We didn't wash one dish or clean up anything out of the ordinary. For the quality of cooking she provides, her prices are unbeatable. She comes highly recommended. Thanks, Laurie!Sep 12, 2016Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing varies depending on size and scale of each event, but I always discuss budget with the client prior to any party.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? After a client contacts me, we will begin a dialogue about your party or event, from theme to menu to budget. Once these items are agreed upon, we will meet at your space and go over more specifics. It is just as important for me to get to know you, the client, as it is for me to become familiar with you and the space. This also gives my clients the opportunity to ask any questions or address any concerns. Meeting new people is one of the favorite parts of my job!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a Culinary Educator (CE) and advisor, Certified Sports Nutritionist (CSN), Certified Fitness Trainer (CFT), and a Certified Barbecue Judge (CBJ). When it comes to food and nutrition, I read anything and everything I can get my hands on.
