Math Tutoring by Mrs. Inch

I have been tutoring for over 6 years now and am beginning my third year of teaching. I have tutored math for children ages 5 to 18 and am certified to teach math from pre-k to 9th grade. I firmly believe in making math fun and appear to simply be a puzzle to put together. I get to know the student I tutor and scaffold information from what he/she already knows to fill in the gaps to what he/she needs to know. I graduated from Florida State with an education degree and taught in Tampa, FL along with common core for 2 years. I am trained in hands-on, center-based learning and apply this to my tutoring sessions. Students have jumped multiple letter grades during my sessions and have made extreme increases in test scores when in my classroom. I truly love teaching and find such joy in watching a child understand something that they thought was once impossible to comprehend.
