Chris did a great job start to finish. He provided direct answers to my questions and transparent pricing. He was able to accommodate our scheduling needs and complete the project in the agreed upon time. Thorough, professional work and treated as if we’re painting his own home.
Details: Home • 8+ rooms • Walls • Trim • Ceiling • Doors • Window frames • 8 - 10 feet (standard ceiling) • Repainting, with a color change • Fair - minor holes and scratches • The painter • Yes, this is new construction • Yes, I would like the painter to help move things

Highly recommend Chris at Build Pros. We hired him for a mix of interior and exterior work in Charlotte: hardwood floor repairs, lighting installs, cabinet touch-up, interiorpaint, a final clean, pressure washing the backyard, and getting the front beds weeded and mulched so the house would be ready for photos. The floor repair looks great. He got the smaller lights in first, then came back for the large Jonathan Y antique-gold fixture once it finally arrived. When the ceiling dip made that fixture sit slightly off-level, he spent time troubleshooting it, explained the issue clearly, and didn’t just shrug it off. Communication was consistent the whole way, including texts about scheduling, the delayed shipment, pricing for the landscaper ($300) and pressure wash ($200), and what was left on the punch list. He was reasonable when we asked to hold a portion of the balance until the last items were done. Paint and cleaning were completed and he sent photos. If you need a contractor who will stay on top of a multi-part job and keep you in the loop, Chris is a solid choice.

I’d like to give my honest review to Chris and Build Pros. Chris came to my house to talk and give me an estimate. One of the things he mentioned was. I wanna earn your business! And that I appreciated. Because I interviewed 3 painters and his price was the BEST! And the painter that painted my home, were SPOT on! All professional painters. And I’d like to add. In order to make sure I was 100% Chris came personally to help me with an unrelated project in my home. Just to put the finishing touches on a job well done I would definitely recommend hiring these guys.. money well spent

Chris and his team were great to work with! He worked with us on timing as we were buying a new home and our closing date was a moving target. Quoted us a week to get the entire home painted and got the job done in 3 days. We had a final walkthrough where I pointed out some light spots and his team came out to fix everything before any final payment was due. Chris was also able to hang some lights for me when the original plan was just painting. Highly recommend this team for your home needs!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate is $75 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum, and there is a $50 destination fee for travel more than 45 minutes one way.
PAINT JOBS:
The price will be about $150 to $300 per room depending on how many coats are needed, wall height, and the amount of trim, doors and windows. On average we charge $1.50 to $2.25 per square foot of floor space in the room. That generally includes a double coat on walls and all trim but we charge less when its the entire house. We usually charge $1.25 to $1.75 range for JUST walls; once again depending on ceiling height etc. As with other things the more you are having done the less it costs per room or sq ft, etc. The price also varies on whether we furnish the paint and what grade of paint the customer prefers as paint can vary from approximately $25 to $70 per gallon.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find out what the client wants from the project and give them a clear and transparent price for the work. After that, I try to schedule them as soon as possible and get the work done in a professional and timely manner.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been doing construction work for about 20 years. I can do flooring, wall panels, kitchen and bathroom remodels, paint, drywall repair, wire concealment, tv and picture mounting, faucets and vanity installation, lights and ceiling fan installs, and building pergolas and gazebos and just about everything in between.
