- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most of the time I charge a very fair flat rate. As a customer myself I like to know what its going to cost me before I have the service done. Although sometimes I will, and have to, charge an hourly rate. But I really try not to. In a lot of cases I need to find out more information to get a full understanding of the issue(s) or potential issue(s) before I can give a fair and accurate quote, because Thumbtack makes me enter a number :-) so I'll explain the quote I entered may not be accurate based on further investigation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I have my CompTIA, MCSE, MCSA, and other certifications. I live and breath this stuff. I'm a technology geek.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In the military. Then I worked at Microsoft for 16+ years after I left the military. Been doing it ever since. LUV IT!
