I’ve used Smodic & Sons for several projects on my house, from TV mountings to garage storage installations. They are always friendly, punctual, and explain my options in great detail. Matthew clearly has vast knowledge of the “right way” to do something, and he strives to complete your project that way. That’s a rare occurrence in the handyman world. Don’t think twice- do yourself a big favor and hire Matthew from Smodic & Sons.
From our very first conversation, I knew I stumbled upon someone I could trust and help guide me to make the best decisions for my reno project. He explained everything upfront in detail with what I would expect as far as material cost, labor cost, and timeline goes, and even helped me find better-priced materials than what I had originally picked out, saving me close to 30% by the end. His attention to detail is sublime. His eye for design coupled with his extensive background in construction comes in handy whenever there’s multiple options on the table. Halfway through the flip, I felt comfortable handing him the reigns to make those calls, and I am SO glad I did. His knowledge of paint finish and application is uncanny. I believe he said he worked for Sherwin Williams at one point, and it shows. The end result speaks for itself, and so did the payday by the time I sold the house.
I’ve hired multiple subs in my day, and this guy sets the bar HIGH in terms of finished product, efficiency, and communication. Always on time, and always able to be reached via text or call. Hands down, I will choose Matthew to handle my future projects over anyone else- even if I have to wait for his schedule.
