I hired Mr. Patteson in June 2012 for a legal separtation that turned into a divorce in December 2013. Mr.Patteron listened to everything I had to say and listened to everything I wanted and did not want out of my divorce. He stood up for me and my children and worked VERY hard for us in my divorce. He worked very closely with the military to get the information that my exhusband refused to give us and even got a few court orders for information that was needed in my case. He stands up for his clients and their rights and fights for them on ever leave needed. He was very honest and open with me and gave me a leading ear when I needed one. He had no problems telling me when I needed to rethink something either with my case. He truely is a great divorce lawyer. I was worried about him being in Greenville but he works in Charleston,Dorechester and Berkeley Counties which that is where my case was heard. He is expiernced in the in's and out's of the different court houses and what the judges are looking for. I have sent a few of my friends to Mr. Patterson for help and assistant since he did such a great job in my case. I know that if I ever have a problem or question he is still there for my and my children if I ever needed him or his help again.

Wayne is very responsive. He is quicker to respond then other lawyers. He also lets you know exactly what he needs and doesn’t need and is a straight shooter.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Quite often the South Carolina divorce case is the first time that a person will ever come to a South Carolina attorney. This occasion may be marked by confusion, anger, frustration and many questions. It is important to find out your options as well as your rights at the earliest possible stage. You need to chose a SC family law attorney that will fight for your rights and has the experience to guide you through the court process. Wayne Patterson, South Carolina divorce attorney, will explain the process to you in plain English, not legalese. He is a problem solver, a skilled negotiator and is comfortable in court. If your financial situation is complex, Wayne has the business and financial planning experience to guide you through the divorce process. Although he is a Greenville Divorce Attorney, he routinely practices in the Pickens, Spartanburg, Laurens, and Oconee Family Courts. Here are some thoughts about choosing a South Carolina divorce attorney. Hire a SC divorce attorney who shares your basic philosophy or attitude toward your divorce. If possible, you want to keep things as calm, cooperative, and non adversarial as possible. However, you need an attorney with the courtroom experience to fight for your rights if necessary. If child custody and child support is an issue, your divorce attorney should make it clear that during your divorce that you must put your children's needs first. He or she should make it clear that they will not pursue unreasonable demands for child support or help you pursue vindictive child custody and visitation arrangements that are not in your children's best interests. If there is a business or substantial marital property involved, then you want a divorce attorney that also has actual business experience, understands how to value a business and can negotiate a division of the marital property. Most divorce attorneys have little or no business experience and lack the knowledge to properly advise you during a time when your emotional involvement may prevent you from making proper decisions. If you are looking for a South Carolina divorce attorney that meets the above criteria, then call Wayne Patterson at 864-270-7973 for an appointment.
