Introduction: Hi! My name is Marina. My boyfriend, Chase, and I were both born and raised in the area and have a passion for helping people and animals. We have been dog training professionally since 2018 and have 3 dogs of our own. After graduating from USCB, I knew I wanted to help people, and I've had a passion for people and animals since I was young. Our goal is to help you and your dog have a better relationship at home and anywhere. We live in a beautiful place and we know you want to take your dog everywhere and have them listen to you! I learned about Marina from another Golden Retriever owner. We took our puppy for a 2 week board and train when she was about 7 months old. We missed her like crazy, but the improvement in her behavior was worth the separation. I wouldn't hesitate to use Marina again.

Wow! Seriously life changing!! They really know what they are doing. My dog Pepper used to get way too excited and she would pull on the leash while I was walking her. Now she is an angle! She now listens to commands, doesnt pull, and is able to be in public without getting distracted. Seriously cant thank them enough. I would 1000% recommend them. They are also very reasonable with their price!! Very quick at responding when I had questions. Thanks Rugged K9 Training!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our board and train pricing reflects that we train basically 24/7. We are at the training facility nearly 24/7 and have cameras set up when we aren't. Our training programs include a structured walk each day, individual training time, social with other dogs, relaxation and down time, and an outing (the beach, a walk in Downtown Bluffton, the park, etc.) The prices also include an e-collar, which is $200 value!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New customers should understand that we are not magicians - I wish we were! In order for your dog to truly change, YOU will have to change! There will be lifestyle changes needed to be made in order to transform the relationship between you and your dog and change your dogs mindset. Put in the work for a few months and you will have a balanced, well-behaved dog for years!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained 3 dogs of my own (including a German Shepherd) using books and courses from Leerburg.com. I started dog walking and pet sitting and got a lot of experience training all different types of dogs for free. It has grown from there!
