Hired Bernie for fixing the Headrails/rods for the backdoor curtains and for the windows and as well the shower curtain rod. He is very punctual, right on time., a professional, a friendly guy., and especially handy with the tools and equipments required for the job. He is a pro and did the job efficiently and without wasting time. I will definitely hire him again in future and totally recommend him.

Mr Bernie is an outstanding professional. He designed and assembled our floating wall shelves with a tile back splash. His work was meticulous. He also assembled numerous shelving units with great care. Mr Bernie also mounted other wall fixtures. Overall a fantastic experience. He is neat, punctual and a pleasure to work with. He kept us informed throughout the process. Highly recommended. Will definitely use his services again.

We've lived in New York City (Manhattan), the Greater Boston area, as well as Atlanta. And we can say, without a doubt, that Bernie is the best & most knowledgeable handyman that we have ever hired! He is extremely hardworking, & his work is flawless. He is patient, kind, accommodating & the consummate professional. The things that we, as humans, purchase-- our homes, our furniture, our appliances-- are our "investments." Bernie Hannon is a professional handyman whom we trust to handle & fix these "investments." As long as we're here in Columbia, SC, Bernie is our go-to handyman! We give him our highest recommendation!

Hired Bernie to fix our screen door that had fallen off its hinges, which turned out to be more problematic than expected but he solved the issue creatively in no time at all and even fixed our dishwasher too. Highly recommend and I expect to call him again in the future!

Bernie was awesome! We had a patio that needed rescreening and after getting several quotes, I found Bernie to not only be the most competitive but also the most comprehensive and thorough - a true value. The other folks we had out to estimate the job either wanted to perform far more unnecessary work than we wanted at 10x the cost (rebuilding the entire enclosure, framing and all) or they were just plain overpriced for the work being requested. Not so with Bernie, he gave a fair price and even went above and beyond in fixing and updating some small items that also needed attention along the way. Overall, he was incredibly reliable and did great work, communicating with me all along the way. I would not hesitate to use Bernie again when we have other projects pop up - he was really that good. Thanks Bernie!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Determine customer needs and scope of project. Prepare and deliver quote. Schedule project. Accomplish project and review with customer.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Spent many years in Building Material business at retail and wholesale level. I have always done all of my own work and did projects for family and friends. As a wholesale representative in the field always judged installation on service calls by whether item was installed as well as I could install. Started doing occasional jobs for others and this became my full time proffesion.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with homeowners and building property managers or owners.
