They did me a favor, and told me I had a lemon of a HP computer and told specifically what was wrong and the only option was to replace the mother board, so they recommended I just buy a new computer. I consider this complete honesty, and professionalism. Thanks.

Brian was able to pinpoint my laptop's power problem in about three seconds. Experience has taught him about a chronic problem with the power cord's tips that go bad and don't make contact, which was invisible to the eye. Fortunately, he also had a replacement for it, about twenty bucks cheaper than I could get in local stores.

I had requested that they try to recover data from an external drive. They were unable. I am disappointed but not angry. I thought it would be impossible. What I am impressed with is that they kept in communication with me an kept me up to date on their attempts. It is very unusual that the customer is kept updated without constant calls in. I appreciate this.
