- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Service fee is fair to clients based on the market and skill set that I possess because it reflects the professional expertise and experience required to create a personalized and memorable ceremony. Additionally, the fee takes into account the demand for skilled officiants, ensuring that clients receive top-notch service for their special day. Service fee is not able to be negotiated.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Booking me as your professional wedding officiant involves several important steps to ensure a seamless and memorable ceremony. Here's a detailed process that covers each stage: Seeking Availability: The first step is to reach out to inquire about availability on your desired wedding date. This can be done through Thumbtack or the website available on my profile. My availability is updated daily to ensure I do NOT double book and your time is respected while searching for your desired officiant. Initial Contact: Upon receiving your inquiry, I will respond to confirm your ceremony date and time and to let you know if I am or am not available. Communication (Phone, Zoom, or Text): Once availability is confirmed, you can schedule a call, a Zoom meeting, or communicate via text to further discuss your wedding plans. During this conversation, you can share your love story, vision for the ceremony, and any specific cultural or religious elements you wish to incorporate, and ask any questions you may have. At this stage, I provide some initial information about their services, fees, and the general process of working together. Contract and Questionnaire: After the initial conversation, I will send you a contract outlining services, fees, and terms of the agreement. Review the contract carefully to ensure it aligns with your expectations. Once you are satisfied, you can sign the contract and return it to me. Additionally, I provide a questionnaire to gather more personalized details about you and your partner, allowing me to tailor the ceremony to your preferences. Deposit Payment: To secure the officiant's services for your wedding date, a deposit is required. I will provide instructions on how to make the payment, which is usually done via electronic means such as ApplePay, Zelle, or Cashapp. Once the deposit is received, I will officially reserve your date on the calendar. Obtaining the Marriage License: Before the wedding, it's essential to obtain a marriage license from the appropriate local government office. I will guide you through the process and let you know the specific requirements and documentation needed. Rehearsal (Optional): Some couples opt for a rehearsal to ensure that everyone involved in the ceremony knows their roles and to iron out any logistical details. This is an additional fee. The Wedding Ceremony: On the wedding day, I will arrive at the venue or location as agreed upon. I will bring the ceremony script based on the information provided in the questionnaire and any additional customization you requested. I will conduct the ceremony with warmth, professionalism, and a personalized touch, ensuring that it reflects your unique love story. By following these steps, you will have booked me to be your professional wedding officiant and have a beautifully orchestrated ceremony that celebrates your love and commitment in a way that is meaningful to you and your partner.
