Josh [JC] is one of the greatest guys you will ever meet on a Skilled Job/Pro/Home Service Website hands down! He is exceptional, multi-skilled, highly knowledgeable, extremely thorough, very smart, a real pro and user friendly. He works nonstop, like a machine, wastes no time and is super determined to fix your problem. He got the details of all the steps I had taken, made certain checks, then proceeded into the more advanced troubleshooting steps. He checked spark plugs, fuel line, cleaned intake & top of carburetor [very dirty], cleaned carburetor itself with carburetor brushes, and kept right on chugging. He was “checking the boxes off” in his head as he progressed & would attempt to start the mower as appropriate. One thing for sure he does not cut corners. At the point where the mower should have cranked, he said to himself “what have I left out?” [He told me afterwards]. So he went backwards and started rechecking some possibilities. I had drained the fuel tank early September just in case the new fuel I put in end of August was bad. However I went back to the same Kings Way station to buy a couple more gallons of non-ethanal 90 octane fuel afterwards. Josh found an air bubble in the fuel filter towards the end; so I went to a different gas store got 93 octane then went and bought another gas filter while he miraculously removed the fuel tank completely & dumped it. At the time I felt it may have been overkill but later I realized just how essential that step was. Regardless of how much gas you pour out of these crazy shaped Craftsman fuel tanks, you need to siphon the last few millimeters out as well, to get rid of ALL bad fuel. Anyway Josh got my mower up and running, pumped up the air in all the tires. It was getting late, but he had me test drive while he was still there. I think he checked about everything on my mower so I got a full service deal at a totally value added price. I highly recommend Josh—you will NOT be disappointed! Get an appointment through Thumbtack AND don’t forget to cancel over 24 hours ahead of time if something changes. He’s the kind of guy that you definitely should never treat that way. This is the BEST or one of the best Thumbtack experiences EVER!! Thank you man!
