Not sure what is going on. Is it a Thumbtack issue or both. Maybe a little of both. Three appts with contractors were made through this app and two of them (Oro Homes LLC and Gold Hammer) were the same guy and the other one did not show. My wife actually met with the contractors. I also spoke with them. This contractor (and his wife whom I spoke to on the phone) seemed very nice. The contractor came out to home and took photos and gave me some estimates the same day. That was great. He also was happy to provide two separate estimates re two types of flooring. Prior to calling anyone for estimates, we made sure to have all the measurements and a list of things we were doing in advance, coats, etc. The guy was very friendly but was off on his calculations by almost one hundred feet. When paying by the square foot, that adds up quickly. We were offered a discount, which is always very much appreciative. for flooring a Master Bedroom with two closets. We did all prep and post work such as moving furniture, ripping out carpets, painting walls and ceilings, etc. Please make sure you check your invoices bc moving furniture is part of the job. You can have that deducted if you are doing some of the work. So, between LVP and hardwoods, with a discount, the price was between 4500 and 7700. However, pls note this includes the price of the flooring, supplies, labor,etc. Flooring is priced widely on the spectrum depending on what you choose, sales, etc. We decided to purchase the hardwoods. We got a better deal

We contracted Ruben and his team to repair subfloor damage in our home and to refresh our kitchen and bathrooms. We had to work long-distance because we are a military family stationed far away; we chose ORO homes to do the work because they are a veteran-owned company and understood our situation. From the beginning, we always felt confident Ruben was on our side. He sent us updates and pictures every step of the way, and when unexpected challenges arose with our older home, he provided possible solutions within our budget.Even before we hired ORO homes, we knew the damage to our subfloor was extensive. Ruben took the time to find the root cause and repair it properly. Not only were the final results beautiful, but we can rest easy knowing the repairs will last for many years to come.

We use standardized pricing based on your service location to keep things fair and transparent. Free estimates with no hidden fees. Veterans and active military receive a 5% discount. Payment schedules are flexible and discussed upfront before any work begins.

First, we schedule a free consultation to discuss your vision and assess the project. Then we provide a detailed estimate. Once approved, 50% deposit Invoice is provided. Then we set a timeline and keep you updated throughout the entire process.
