Introduction: Hello my name is Scott Kesler. I'm new to Thumbtack and am expanding my scope of business. I already have quite a few students that I've been teaching for many years. Most were taught in person but now, although I still will teach in person, most are taught virtually. Playing the guitar has been a part of my life since I was eight years old and music has always been a passion of mine. From talent shows and rock bands as a kid, to country, pop and worship music in the present, music is my passion and my living. I am a full time self employed musician teaching private lessons in Acoustic Guitar, Four String Electric Bass Guitar and Uke. Music styles: Country, Folk, Rock, Gospel, Contemporary Christian. I also teach music theory and work from the Fretboard Logic (CAGED) system. If you're a song writer/musician, I can help you understand and apply music patterns and progressions that will help you express the message you want heard in your songs. I play professionally for weddings, family events and Christmas celebrations providing the sound equipment and DJ services as well. My primary focus though is teaching and coaching my guitar students. My students range in age from 8ys to 65ys. No experience is necessary to get started. I have a very practical approach to teaching which comes from over 50 years of experience and each individual is taught differently because we all learn differently. I enjoy seeing others grow in their skills and experiencing the thrill of playing the guitar as I have for all these years !!

Scott is very kind and personable. He always asks questions about how I am feeling on the content and personalized lessons to what I felt was important (while mixing in his expertise). Nothing bad to say about him or his teaching!

I have had the utmost pleasure of working with Mr. Kesler since I was a little kid, both in-person and virtually. Without a second thought, I would recommend Mr. Kesler's guitar lessons to both newcomers and experienced guitarists who are looking for lessons! Mr. Kesler goes the extra mile to ensure his students are learning what they want while also incorporating theory and fundamentals into their lessons. Being one of his students for several years, I can faithfully recommend Mr. Kesler to anyone who needs a flexible and hardworking guitar teacher who will accelerate their progress. Lastly, I must state that Mr. Kesler is a remarkably patient and flexible man, as he is willing to work with you regardless of your experience with guitars. I've had the opportunity to receive acoustic and bass lessons from Mr. Kesler, and I've never been left disappointed after a lesson. In short, I highly recommend Kesler Guitar!

Scott is a terrific teacher and "coach" who has helped me transition from novice player to songwriter of original music. I came to Scott about 8 months ago looking for a teacher to help achieve a lifelong goal of playing and singing a song on the guitar. Along the way I accidentally wrote a song, then another and another! Scott has been a great guide as he keeps me learning new techniques and chord combinations to add to my own music. He has been willing to modify our lesson plan to meet my schedule and he prepares me for each lesson in advance with a written lesson plan. I can read tabs and write my own music now in addition to singing and playing! I never imagined I could make so much progress in such a short time! Old dogs CAN learn new tricks! I recommend Scott to anyone highly and plus he's a really nice guy too!

Our son had to stop his guitar lessons during the pandemic and that's when we found Kesler Guitar. Mr. Scott is simply THE BEST!!!! In addition to being a great music teacher he's also very patient, loving, caring, and super friendly. Our son participates in lot of after school activities and Mr. Scott is always ready to accommodate to his ever-changing schedule. Our son enjoys every single minute of his guitar lesson, be it virtual or in-person.
