Introduction: I specialize in helping people improve their body mechanics and posture as part of their fitness training. I am a certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT) and hold specializations in a number of areas including Pilates Matwork, Tabata Bootcamps, Senior Fitness and Martial Arts. I'm currently working on a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialization which addresses properly engaging the core, diaphragm and pelvic floor to help folks with back and neck pain, healing diastasis, and pelvic floor dysfunction (including incontinence issues). When you train with me, we establish and build upon a strong foundation of posture and movement to achieve your fitness goals. I do not believe in loading up faulty movement patterns to build muscle while risking injury along the way. I enjoy experiencing the journey to better movement and fitness with each and every client I train. It is very rewarding to hear them tell me how much better they feel, how they have so much more energy and can do things they weren't able to do before. It is always great to hear about the annual doctor visits and how their numbers have all improved. I believe fitness is one of several pillars to living a great life and it is my privilege to help my clients own the fitness pillar!

Rachel makes my personal training experience so worthwhile. She plans ahead what exercises I'll do, and she prints up a homework sheet for me of exercises to do at home. She takes into consideration my weak knees, back, and heel, as well as how much time I have to devote to physical fitness. She adjusts my training session to either challenge me more or scale back, depending on how I'm doing. It's evident that she cares about me as an individual and plans accordingly.

Rachel is the first female trainer I've had that I completely trust. She knows what I need to do to reach my personal goals of fitness. She modifies exercises to my level of fitness to avoid injury and yet still very effective. Rachel has a great way to motivate and push you for a little more every time you show up! And as long as you show up ... She'll make it worth it!

Rachel has been amazing. She is so great at working with the level your body is at and making sure that you feel comfortable with every move. The workouts is so diverse, so it is never boring and the conversation is fun too!

I highly recommend Rachel Maxwell to anyone who wants to get fit, have more energy, lose weight, and feel better about themselves. I have been working out at CenterFit with Rachel for just over a year and not only am I down 15 pounds, but I am stronger, healthier and more energetic than ever before. What I really appreciate about Rachel is she doesn't just show you "how", she teaches you "why". I have learned so much about diet, nutrition, how my muscle groups work together, strengthening my core, proper form, and the importance of stretching to stay flexible and prevent injury. Even if you are already in pretty good shape, with all of her extensive training in fitness, Pilates, martial arts, massage therapy and nutrition, there is much she can teach you to improve your levels of fitness and overall wellness!
