- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first got into this type of work about 10 years ago. What began as helping with smaller landscaping and outdoor projects quickly grew into something I realized I had a real skill and passion for. Over the years, I gained hands-on experience with everything from grading and land clearing to building hardscapes and designing full landscapes. I enjoyed the challenge of transforming properties and seeing the results come to life, which kept pushing me to learn more and take on bigger projects. What started out as a side skill developed into a full-time career, and now it’s become what I specialize in—hardscapes, grading, land clearing, and landscaping. It’s been a journey of steady growth, and I take pride in bringing excellence into every job I do.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently, I completed a paver patio project where we transformed a backyard into a clean, functional outdoor living space. The job involved grading the area for proper drainage, laying down a solid crush-and-run base, compacting it, and then setting the pavers in a custom layout. After the pavers were installed, I used polymeric sand to lock everything in place and added edging to keep the patio secure long-term. The entire project took about three days from start to finish—one day for prep and grading, one day for laying the base and pavers, and another for sanding, compacting, and final touches. The result was a durable, low-maintenance patio that the homeowners can enjoy for years to come.
