Introduction: I have been told by several people that I have the hands for massage and I have a gift. I tailor the session to the client and focus on the client. It might take more than one session since trust and understanding need to build. Customers always leave feeling relaxed, less tense and have better range of motion. What I like most about my job is being able to facilitate change in a person just by using my skills and abilities, making someone feel better. Helping someone. And what I really love to see is a person will come in and their face will be tight and tense but when they leave their face is relaxed and smiling....they do not look like the same person. It is amazing to witness.

When I get a massage I want to best I can find, Penni has been excellent with my massages knowing exactly what I need. It's very hard to find someone who knows how to do a massage with people with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibro and Osteoarthritis. I will follow Penni where ever she goes. Penni is excellent at her job!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing is based close to what other therapists are charging and the duration of the service. I have different avenues and modalities to consider when the pricing is quoted. I am a fair and reasonable and there is a discounted price for repeat customers.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My typical process working with a new customer is to have a conversation with them on the telephone to get specific information to determine the type of massage needed. I will sometime have the customer complete an intake form prior to the first session then I will ask questions based on what is on the intake form. Since the intent of massage therapist is "to do no harm" I will ask you some questions pertaining to the discomfort you are experiencing, if you have had any recent illnesses or injuries, if you are taking any medications. I will ask what kind of activities you engage in on a regular basis and what type of work you do. I attempt to find out about you with the intention of helping you get to feeling better and relax the muscles.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have had the required number of hours that were needed to obtain my South Carolina massage therapy license 9720. I have completed continuing education in the following; Deep Tissue Tai, Pre-Natal, Behind Closed Doors, Hot Stone, Stretching and Sports Massage. I continue my education on a regular basis.
