Trim or Molding Installation
Rushed work, came to a job site without accurate tools (no ladder), and measurements were all over the place. I didn’t babysit this “professional,” but I wish I had. There was so much damage to the moulding, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be repairable. As you can see by the pictures, the lines weren’t straight at all. And as a result, my moulding suffered way more holes than necessary. I shouldn’t have to ask a pro to use a spacer to ensure accuracy, opposed to using a tape measure. If you have time to babysit, enough putty to fill holes, and the time to do so... hire away.
Aug 29, 2019VerifiedJB Services CSRA, LLC's replyDanielle, Nail holes are inevitable when installing moulding. I would have gladly filled them and caulked everything, but you had another painter already contracted to do this. I installed the moulding a bit crooked the first time, but didn't leave until every last piece was straightened, which you didn't show in your pictures. I also lowered the entire design past what was specified in the contract, which required rebuilding a frame and moving 7 frames down by roughly 6 inches-a change I did not charge you for. You later called me and demanded a refund of $90, which you stated the other company charged you to fill the holes. When I refused your request because you didn't request this service from my company, which would have charged you half of that, you left a 2 star review, and recently changed it to a 1- star review. I am fairly flexible in my terms, but I can't stay in business by frequently completing tasks we did not originally agree to in the original contract. I also have a wide array of tools and ladders, but you offered yours so I could stay ahead of the painter, which you scheduled to paint the room at the same time you scheduled me to install the moulding. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but in my opinion, JB Services CSRA is not at fault. Jonathan Berry Owner/Operator

Drywall Repair and Texturing
When I found Jonathan I was about to give up hope on finding a good contractor to work on my rental. This guy got the job done with me living in Virginia Beach. He is very dependable, trustworthy, and detailed with his work. I felt he went above and beyond to get my job completed. With stepping in being the head guy who met with inspectors or the plumber to do a job outside his scope made this process stress free for me. He communicated with me, and took a lot of photos to show me his work coming together in my home. Please do not look any further because he is the man for the job.

Interior Painting
Mr. Berry was able to match our existing paint colors which were many years old and faded. We highly recommend his work. He also was a great communicator and went above and beyond what was asked of him. His company will be our go to handyman service from here in out!

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Estimates are always cost and hassle-FREE. I will come out and take measurements, provide you with suggestions, and options to ensure that you receive the best possible service. An additional cost may apply for service calls, multiple revisions, room designing, computer renderings, building plans/permits, or calls requiring travel outside of our typical service area.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will schedule a time to come to your home, or business, and arrive at the time specified. I also send a text, message via Thumbtack, or make a call the day prior to confirm our appointment. Depending on the size of your project, generating estimates typically take anywhere from 1 hour to 4 days, as I like to compare prices to ensure you are getting the best deals on the materials, and services I provide. Any plans that need to be drawn up will be done during this time. An accurate line-item estimate is provided to the customer. Once the estimate is approved, a contract is provided and signed by both parties outlining the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms. Work is then completed, and thoroughly documented. Before/after pictures are made available on my business Facebook page.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? While I have no formal education in the field in which I work, I am always researching the best techniques and implementing them in my own properties before applying it in the field. I have been performing this type of work my entire life, and professionally part-time from 2011-2015 and full time from 2015 to present.
