About
My aim is to provide the student with the best experience possible. To do this, we must all do our part to ensure your son/daughter's success. Studying music can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, but it takes commitment from the parents as well as the teacher and the student.
Get better and play the guitar well in a shorter amount of time than expected. Exercises are used with other methods combined are used and logged to watch the progress.
Music is its reward. Hire me to help you learn the songs you want to play, or how to compose songs or even understand how the construction of Music works. Whatever you want to learn about guitar or Music let me help you learn it the right way IN ORDER of learning at your own pace.
There are no shortcuts. Face the challenge of a song, go through learning the proper way how to practice. Enjoy the balance of work and play on the instrument.

John is a highly skilled professional musician with a gift for making guitarlessons both challenging and fun. I started my journey with him on acoustic guitar and have since expanded into classical guitar. He assesses your skill level and tailors each lesson to focus on specific areas for improvement, helping you take ownership of your progress from week to week. My guitarlessons with John are a highlight of my week.
John Stockdale's reply
Well you're a highlight of my week as well! Watching you get better in music is the addiction for sure! Thank you for the kind words! It's an honor to be of service to someone of your caliber!

When I started working with John in 2023, I had zero experience with guitar. John was so patient, kind, and encouraging. John is incredibly knowledgeable and frequently weaves musical theory into the lessons. John understands the importance of being a part of a community and provides opportunities for his students to connect through music in group classes too. John is one of the most genuine and kind people I have grown to know. If you are considering guitar (or any musical) lessons, no matter your knowledge levels, I cannot recommend John highly enough. 🤘

My son takes lessons with Mr. Stockdale and is learning so much. He provides great feedback and keeps the lessons positive. He works hard on foundational skills that are important for years to come.

John is a fantastic music teacher. I’ve been taking individual guitarlessons and a group musical improv class with him for a few years now, and I’ve learned a ton from him in that time. His command of the instrument and his ability to explain things in different ways for students of different levels is really impressive. He’s who I recommend when anyone I know is thinking about guitar/bass/piano lessons

John has been the perfect guitar instructor for me. He has been an outstanding guide and mentor as I’ve explored different areas of music and guitar, helping me discover the styles and techniques that truly interest me.
He is patient, encouraging, and has tailored each lesson to both challenge me and keep me motivated. His approach has helped me stay focused on enjoying the process of learning and playing music, while continuing to grow as a guitarist.
I highly recommend John to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and inspiring guitar teacher.
