Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I always seek input from my clients. During a consultation, I will reassure them that they already have the end result in their mind, they may not know how to acheive it. By asking a series of questions, I zero in on what they want and research to find the best match for them. My belief is I have not done my job correctly if my clients are not a part of the process and feel that they have contributed to the final results. Being able to work with my client's input of what they would like to see in a particular room and showing them in detail my ideas and seeing it completed. I especially enjoy designing custom window treatments and selecting accessories for my clients to complete the room or space. Paint and furniture are just the beginning, accessories, window treatments, area rugs and other decorative items are the little jewels that make a space come to life.

Raymond D.

I have known and worked with Ms. Marva Williams of Designing Women of the Carolinas for over 10 yrs. Through local and national interior decorating shows, classes, factory visits, and more, she is always current with the ever-changing trends of colors, materials, patterns, and furniture & accessory schemes in the interior designer industry. She is also highly skilled in lighting placement and people flow patterns for optimum use of available space. She is an individual of immense integrity, knowledge, and a strong commitment to provide her customers with nothing less than 'perfect results'....delivered on time and within budget. Ms. Williams is a true professional.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I typically do not charge an hourly rate. My consultation fees are based on the scope of work my clients would like me to assist them with.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As a graduate from Winthrop University, I received my Bachelors Degree in Interior Design. I am also an Allied ASID- American Society of Interior Designers member. To keep these credentials current, I am required to attend CEU classes yearly, which enables me to stay on top of the new products and techniques in the Interior Design industry. Additionally, I have over 20 years experience in this particular field and was a Century 21 Real Estate Agent in SC/NC for 5.5 years with my focus on luxury primary residences, vacation and investment properties along the Grand Strand. I bring the real estate experience and background to every project, which I believe is a unique benefit for my clients.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Recently residential makeovers have been keeping me busy since last fall. I am currently assisting several couples building custom homes and advising on their finishes and construction selections to coordinate with their furniture, accessories and window treatments. I just completed a 5 bedroom 5 bath remodel, including updates in the kitchen and bathrooms on a second home in Ocean Isle Beach, NC.
