Introduction: Sandra is a Licensed Massage Therapist in South Carolina and a professional member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (abmp). She graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College in the spring of 2013, with more than 500 hours of training. Her interest in massage began while working as a Physical Therapy assistant in Maine. Massage was an integral part of her treatment, which yielded positive results in many of her clients. In 2003, she attended a Cranio sacral workshop through The Upledger Institute, which granted her a glimpse into the world of therapeutic touch. She believes that that touch can have an incredible influence on the body and its ability to heal itself and is a firm believer in holistic health. Sandra has trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Sports Massage and Cranio Sacral Therapy. She approaches each session with an openness and intention of wellness. Her holistic approach to massage integrates different styles and modalities which allows for each session to be customized for individual needs. Sandra is inspired by nature, music, family and friends, and is excited to expand her practice and continues her interest and self-study in herbal medicine, nutrition and energy work. She and is passionate about the positive aspects that manual therapies and bodywork offer and encourages everyone to take part in their own health and wellness.

Massage Therapy

I wanted to surprise my parents with a massage for their 50th anniversary. I wanted to find someone that would travel to our hotel. She was great! My dad has a lot of aches and pains and said that she was able to relieve some of it! My parents loved their massage and are now going to get massages regularly!

Very highly recommended! I have been massaged by Sandra multiple times. She has worked on numerous areas for me and has a wealth of knowledge on the body, muscle function, and stretching exercises that benefit the areas that she worked on. Very in tune to my needs! She really helped me with my plantar fasciitis and also with just learning to relax and be aware of how my muscles are working together. Thanks!

Had some discomfort in my neck area several weeks ago, and used the massage services of Sandra. The relief was almost immediate. Would not hesitate about calling or referring Sandra in the future

Sandra is a great massage therapist. She quickly pinpointed my stiff muscle issues and was able to work them out painlessly. She also showed me how to stretch the muscles that are troubling me so they don’t get as tight again between massages.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Discounts are available when purchasing weekly or monthly packages. Depending on what your massage goals are ( relaxation, pain relief, sports training) , the type of massage you are interested in (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Triggerpoint) and how often, (weekly, biweekly, monthly), packages will be tailored to your need and your budget.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to begin by listening to what the potential client is looking for. •What type of massage they are interested in •Do they have pain or discomfort and where •Any past experience they may have with massage and body work •What type of exercise/ activity they enjoy •Also, what might we do to tailor the session to meet their physical needs or medical conditions. •We will be sure to address areas of concern or any possible contraindications that could prevent the client from receiving treatment. Once defining the goals and expectations of the session, we are then better able to confidently identify if this is a good fit for us both. From here we would schedule the first meeting/session. Massage is very personal service and the final product is not something you are able to inspect for imperfection or flaws. This is why I feel communication is vital to the end product. The “service/product” is to enjoy the experience and benefits of massage, and to have a sense of well-being that lasts well after the treatment.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    • Massage Therapy Certificate/Program Horry Georgetown Technical College 2013 •The Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) 2013 • Continuing Education Hours as state requires. Completion of 12 hours yearly through an NCBTMB Approved Provider
