Got stood up. Showing up is the easy part of the job. Glad I missed this one. We set up the appointment days in advance. Their last words was “just say when and where, and we will be there”. While in route for an hour and a half they called me and told me that they were not going to be there because the appointment was not approved. Of course this irritated me and I was less than happy. The person said that because I wasn’t speaking to them like an adult, they were going to end the conversation. Apparently they don’t know that it’s more adult to follow through than just speaking with an unpleasant tone.

Hey Marvin,
I’m apologetic about your experience with us. Thumbtack didn’t release the notification of your messages until the morning we were expected to meet. We genuinely had know knowledge of a meeting until is was too late. When my assistant took steps to resolve the matter, you chose to speak with her using expletives, raising your voice, and using a foul tone. She continued to be kind and spoke calmly, and you proceeded to hang up on her as she was in the process of truly trying to make the situation better. It is never our intention to give bad customer service, and we go to great lengths to treat you how we ourselves would like to be treated. Our technical issues got in the way of that, and for that we are apologetic.
Thank you for your review. We will use this feedback and work to be better than we were the day before.
