Deck or Porch Repair
Brent with Elyjah Construction was very professional and did an outstanding job on our back deck at our office/model home. I would certainly recommend him. The only problem is he stays extremely busy (probably because everyone wants him!) and it was hard to schedule projects for him to do because of this.Jun 28, 2017Verified
We are so happy with our new deck! The pricing was fair and the work was amazing. Brent is a super guy and we can't wait to get him back over for our next project. Thanks, Brent!!Oct 29, 2019Verified
Trim or Molding Installation
We had a very positive experience with Brent. He was very professional and provided excellent work while completing repairs needed in the interior and exterior of our home. I would recommend him to everyone that needs an excellent carpenter. He provides great work ethic and great work. Thanks BrentOct 23, 2019Verified
Deck or Porch Remodel or Addition
Brent just finished building a beautiful pergola over my deck and I couldn’t be happier. Really talented guy, worries about details and put a lot if effort into his craft. I definitely recommend him! Thank you!Jan 28, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is very fair and competitive based upon my knowledge and expertise. I’m definitely not the cheapest contractor by any means. I’ve built up a reputation and skill set that require a certain amount in return. It’s a benefit of many jobs well done. But at the same time I’m not the most expensive. I’m just a single contractor with helpers when I need them so I don’t have much overhead.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always meet face to face to take a look at the project they have. Then I take detailed pics and notes and put together a formal estimate of the work. Once they respond and agree upon a job, I require a 50% deposit and then I pencil them into my schedule. I get the rest of the payment after completing the job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I’ve worked with my grandfather as an electricians apprentice when I was in high school. I worked with my dad doing irrigation work all through high school and college. After graduating from college, I became a Nurse and it wasn’t for me. I missed working with my hands and working with tools. Then I got into landscape construction building patios, pergolas, pavers systems, retaining walls, etc. Then I progressed into residential construction with a buddy. I ran the labor side of the business for 5 years. I started to go out on my own and get my own business. My work spoke for itself and within a year of doing side jobs, I had a strong customer base. The rest is history.
