Integrity painting came in as not the cheapest, but not the most expensive painter that I spoke with. I was very pleased that their workmanship was on par with their responsiveness which was excellent. All in all I think these guys are a great value and are able to create value in your property.

Integrity painting Is a terrible service. While I employed them I was constantly met with up-charges and additional material costs. This could have all been avoided if they had accepted the invite to do a walk through of the jobsite but they chose to deny the invite and go into the project blind. In addition to the constant up charges, they constantly showed up late to the jobsite. They tried to justify this by stating: "we will work until 10pm or later if you let us" however after verbally telling them I didn't want them there late it became glaringly obvious that if they didn't stay late there would be no progress made because they don't show up to the site until about noon (plus or minus and hour). While doing they job they consistently brought random people into my house to assist with painting and it really bothered me because it was not a consistent team to work with. Furthermore when I specifically asked them to work room by room they did not, after 5 days on the job not a single room was complete because they had been painting portions of all rooms at the same time. This became a big problem because it meant my entire house was in shambles constantly and couldn't be fixed because they did not prioritize the painting. To add to this review I would like to add that their money management for jobs is absolutely terrible! They came to me on 2 separate occasions DURING THE JOB asking me to pay more on my payment and if I didn't pay they "wouldn't have the gas money to return to the job". Additionally when speaking about money, Integrity Paint tried 7 TIMES to extract over $7,000 from my bank account. I don't even know where this amount came from because my quote of work was $4100 and I had already paid around $3200 so where on earth they believed I owed them $7400 blows my mind. Additionally to their quality of work, upon completion of the job I found 3 areas that had paint on my carpet after SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTING the Painters to be careful as it was brand new carpet. During the work day Integrity Paint consistently took 1-2 and potentially 3 hour breaks which worked against their efficiency. They even tried to quote "South Carolina Labor Laws" as a means to justify their long breaks. Needless to say after the: 1- constant upcharges 2- bad work ethic 3- constant mismanagement of assets 4- ruining my carpet 5- consistent tardiness 6- and unprofessionalism I fired Integrity painting from completing my paint job which I ended up finishing myself. Integrity Painting claims they are an "Integrity" filled painting service that couldn't be further from the truth.

Details: Home • 8+ rooms • Trim • Doors • Window frames • 8 - 10 feet (standard ceiling) • Repainting, with a color change • Excellent - clean and smooth • The painter • No, this is not new construction • Yes, I would like the painter to help move things

Integrity LLC's reply
We at Integrity Painting never want to have a disgruntled customer. We are truly sorry that Mr Freeman had to finish painting on his own. We would have been happy to complete his project had he paid his balance on time. We also cannot believe that a former Air Force soldier chose to display his honor in such a slanderous way. It is truly a shame. It was a debate as to whether to respond in anyway however the Thumbtack service does not remove reviews from customers once they are posted. Our business from this particular forum has decreased tremulously in the last month, due to this review, and we have now simply decided enough time and passion has pasted to just set the record straight and move on. Integrity Painting as a whole finds it so terribly unfortunate that we not only had to stop working on the project due to non-payment after threes days of continued labor where we continually asked politely to be paid, but we also find it terribly sad that any customer would feel the need to slander a company. What is factual is that Mr. Freeman signed a contract as all our customers do prior to our beginning work, signed a second updated contract after adding significantly more work to the initial project and subsequently the original schedule that was set, and that he chose to refuse to pay his payment on time and still to this day owes us thousands of dollars. Of course, some things are variations of truth, and the following are those listed out, only as response and as least passionately or childlike as we are able to express them: Mr Freeman was billed throughout the project for the additional, and only the bare minimum of completely necessary, materials that we as a company purchased on his behalf, as they arose as is outlined in our original contract. After our choice to have to enforce the net terms of our contract and stop work, Mr Freeman was only still billed for what was left of his balance. That amount was his to choose to correctly disclose, however the claim that we would have ever agreed to paint an entire house for $4100 is false, unless of course we were working adding amazing discounts or donating services. There was a spill a can of paint from a ladder onto his new carpet which 4 of our staff spent an entire 8 hour day making sure there was absolutely no trace left of with 3 shop vacs, a wet vac, and cleaning products, all of which we ate the cost of. We did arrive at noon daily as that we let all of our customers know we are not morning people and set a schedule for which we will be working prior to the beginning of each project. Mr Freeman was well aware of the time we would arrive, and as he added additional work, we definitely did offer to work as late as necessary to attempt to complete as quickly as possible so that his home would be disrupted for the least amount of time as possible and we would be able to move on to the next projects we had scheduled on their prior scheduled dates. In relationship to staffing changes, I'm not sure how Mr. Freeman felt so overwhelmed by the use of four people painting as that there was only the switch of 3rd and 4th helpers on two days but we do apologize that that brought him discomfort. Of course, as painting projects go, color changes determine which rooms will be painted and what parts of said rooms will be painted on certain days. As that this was a fairly large project of three coating the crown, chair, and base of his home, in all rooms and closets, and every single door as well, going from room to room was not practical. Mr. Freeman's family had originally painted his home for him the day he moved in, in four hours so he told us, and the corrections from their less than professional hands also added additional time. The only unprofessional part of the entire project, we personally would have never made known had Mr Freeman not chose to slander our company on public forum. Mr Freeman made our female owner sit in his darkened bedroom for more than an hour with him, on the ledge of his bed, making lewd insinuations while she tried to seek a resolution to the issue of non-payment, two nights prior to our ending the project. Her husband, our male owner, who was working painting while this went on, did not confront Mr Freeman, as to not embarrass his wife or be confrontation with a customer, at her insistence, only. Moving forward, we are happy to announce that we have rebranded and joined with two other companies to become Integrity LLC! We are still painting away, as well as now doing electrical and tile work. We apologize mainly to anyone who had to read Mr Freemans review and also had to read our response. We hope that all of this will blow over and we can all move on to a brighter, sunnier Spring season! We've added a new website for you all to check out and are delighted to be continuing to grow steadily :) Thank you and God Bless!

These guys are perfect if you want your painters to show up over four hours late, bring random homeless men into your home, dig into your cabinets to use your dish towels/sponges after having you pay hundreds for materials, leave without warning for three hours in the middle of the job, lie about pricing and add-ons that were already agreed upon to double charge you, steal your kitchen lamp, and leave blood all over your guest bathroom mirror and floor as well as cigarettes all over your patio. A job that they told us would take two days took four days. My partner and I are still finding paint splatters all over the walls they don’t belong, our rug THAT SHOULD’VE BEEN COVERED DURING DAY ONE PREP, the stove, the microwave, and our sliding glass door. They constantly were in and out of our guest bathroom, so God knows what was done in there. We’ve had to deep-clean and sanitize that bathroom after the way they left it. Don’t believe this fake profile that Louis reviewed himself. He did not care about being professional when he offered my partner some weed from his vape pen (which they didn’t accept because we don’t smoke and live on a NO-SMOKING PROPERTY). They brought a homeless guy on day one that never came back, two random 20-somethings on day two that didn’t come back, and then one guy that did better work than them for day three and four. (My partner and I even overheard this guy arguing with Louis who showed up high as a kite.) They do not have “4 employees.” They could have done a precise job at the very least. But there are paint splotches in random places and painter’s tape left stuck in our baseboards. I had to threaten them with job cancellation on day two after they were no-shows for three hours. Their excuse was that Kacey is on new meds and dealing with mental health issues. They took the job and even had an extra two weeks to prepare for it because we had to reschedule. Do not hire these people. They do not operate with the integrity that they claim.
