FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The primary service we get called for is for weekly service. We will always let the customer set up the schedule that they would prefer for their lawn maintenance. However, we have found that by allowing our customers to set up on a yearly contract, they can be assured their yard will look incredible all year and for a reasonable monthly rate. This also allows our customers to know exactly what the monthly cost will be. No unexpected cost for mulching, fertilizing, over seeding or leaf removal in the fall. Secondly and one of my favorites is "the initial clean-up". When a customer calls and has a yard or property that has been neglected. Weeds out of control, unmowed grass, flower beds in shambles, shrubs untrimmed and mulch non-existent. Then with a little TLC and a lot of hard work, it's like transforming the entire house.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't be afraid to ask questions or get it in writing!!! I have heard to many horror stories where a customer was "told" certain parts of a job would be performed or the customer "assumed" that an obvious service would be included in the quoted price. If someone balks at the idea of having to list all services and rates in writing and signing their name......RUN! It's your money. Don't be afraid to ask questions and ask for everything in writing.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Insurance, Insurance, Insurance!!! Make sure the vendor you are hiring carries General Liability Insurance. Few home owners are aware that if an UNINSURED VENDOR they have hired is injured or damage is caused by that vendor, a claim would be filed against the home owners insurance. Inexpensive is not always the best option. Little Red Lawn Care carries a million dollar general liability insurance with a two million dollar aggregate. This is for our customers and our protection.
