I have been doing construction/remodeling/landscaping/landscape design for over 15 years. I'm very passionate about turning people's dream projects into a reality. We let our work do our advertising, and make sure everything is done to our clients liking before leaving the job. We are licensed, bonded, insured, and certified in everything. I’m so happy I found the lawn doctors on thumbtack. They gave me an estimate the same day as I called and came right out and removed all of the leaves in my yard and trimmed a big over grown shrub. They had asked specific questions about the work I wanted done and then followed my requests exactly. Also, they were careful around my existing plants and my belongings on my front porch area. Very nice and polite gentleman who do great work.

The Lawn Doctors, LLC presented mixed performance issues for this review. The young man was very professional and the quality of work was very well done, though imcomplete. They were late due to traffic issues but to their credit, I was kept informed until they arrived. I was given an estimate of cost but it was not consistent with what was on Thumbtack's website. Like other pros, they said the cost would be $50/yard but I was told my 1 yard would cost $170, reduced to $150. I questioned the estimate because it was not as advertised on Thumbtack (TT). I was told that it was TT's issue and they didn't know why TT provided that price. I was caught in a last-minute crunch and nobody else responded. My greatest concern is that the young man and his boss said that the information Thumbtack provides regarding pros and their estimates is not reliable. Yes, the young man did a very good job with what I had but the job was incomplete. I asked if I would have to pay $150 to install another yard and he said yes. A job that was supposed to cost $50/yd, cost me $150 for an incomplete job. I would like to have had the information upfront. Who's at fault here, Thumbtack or the pro? The company's "resposiveness" was impressive but the issues that caused them to be very late dampened it; the professionalism is questionalble because I received mixed messages about the cost and an unexpected estimate; The young man, however, was very professional and the quality of work was very well done, though imcomplete.

I needed my yard cleaned up for a new years party. I reached out to Chris for a quote on my yard. They came out the next morning, We walked my yard I showed them what I needed to be cleaned. They gave me a great price and started working immediately. They did an amazing job!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All pricing is an estimation as things change when we get hands on at the physical property. However the estimates are VERY close. We are very vocal and emphasize any little change or issue we bring up before ever doing any services to make sure the client is ok with it.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to go out to the property jot notes down, get specifications on how our client would like our services done to their satisfaction. We walk through everything before and after and take pictures to keep a log for preference. And we like to make sure the client loves our work and that our work becomes our advertisement around the area.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing landscaping for over 15 years in all variations of it and installations. I have been in the parade of homes a few times for work I have done with a few big landscaping companies. I went to college for engineering and architecture so landscape design comes second nature to me and my green thumb. We do CAD work and detail yards and bring them to life on any custom projects long before we even start.
