FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been involved in the study and practice of acupuncture and Asian medicine since I was a teen. My best friends father is a famous acupuncture and Oriental medicine doctor in New York.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Please do not be fooled by physical therapists or chiropractors that claim to provide "dry needling". This term (dry needling) is a manufactured name, renaming the practice of acupuncture in order to deceive the public and bypass the required minimum education for acupuncture training. Please seek acupuncture from a qualified acupuncturist with a minimum of a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

The Acupuncture field has accepted minimum standards of education and supervised clinical internship required for entry into the profession as a basic level acupuncturist (a Masters degree with over 3,300 hours of education from an accredited acupuncture college and passing the nationally recognized licensing exam). Acupuncture is not just some technique another healthcare provider can learn in a 100 - 300 hour weekend course (i.e chiropractor).
