FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Travel distance is a major consideration in my fees. I charge 55 cents per mile to travel to and from an assignment. In addition to that, $10.00 per document to be notarized.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make it a point to understand who will provide the document(s), and, that government issued identification is required, typically a driver license or a valid US Passport. I confirm the date/time/place to do the signing process. We agree on the fee to be paid for travel and documents signed. We agree on what is to happen with the signed items whether signer(s) will get them to where needed, or whether the notary is to deliver them in some manner to their ultimate destination.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Signing Agent having had training offered through the National Notary Association (NNA) appointed as a notary in both South Dakota and Minnesota. I have the Minnesota Closer License for real estate documents in MN. I have Errors and Omissions insurance as a notary public. I have done in excess of 3000 real estate closing transactions in the past 16 years.
