I hired Kristen after using thumbtack for the first time, it was very user friendly. Kristen sent me a great initial description of what services she offered after I submitted my request looking for a chef for a bachelorette party. I immediately was drawn to her description because it was friendly, to the point and included a tasty looking sample menu that I immediately agreed to. We emailed seamlessly for weeks and she was so helpful with answering all questions leading up to my event. The night of the event Kristen and her team Alan and Kenji came fully prepared on time. They were so accommodating and passed out each course according to our discussed plan. To say the food was amazing was an understatement. They payed attention to each persons dietary restrictions and kept the drinks coming. Each course was flavorful, presented beautifully and delicious. Myself and all the girls eating the courses kristen and her team prepared were beyond satisfied. I can't say enough nice things.

Kristen came to our VRBO house to prepare us an amazing dinner for my sister-in-law's bachelorette party. From the moment I first reached out to her she was extremely responsive and flexible. She worked with us to create the perfect menu for our group (including meat lovers, vegetarians, and expectant mamas). She showed up right on time and got to work! She prepared plenty of food for our group, and it was delicious. She talked us through each dish, and was very patient with our chatty group! It was clear that everything she prepared was well thought out. Do not miss her mac and cheese, it is to.die.for! Then came dessert(s), one chocolate-y and one lighter and fruity. They were the perfect ending to a perfect meal. We loved it all!

Kristen did an excellent job catering a small event that I hosted at my home recently. She offered some creative dishes that pleased a diverse and picky palate. Everyone raved about the food. One guest even wants to use Kristen to cater an upcoming event their hosting. I would definitely hire her again! Thanks Kristen.

Kristen and her team made my wife's 75th birthday the best party ever. She planned the menu with great food. Her staff of a bar tender a, server and assistant did a great job as well.

Kristen came into a home we rented while on vacation- and cooked for three couples. It was absolutely wonderful everything tasted fabulous. My descriptions on the photos do not due justice to the dishes. Delish!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I travel as much as possible to see and try new ideas. I'm constantly working with new ingredients.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell in love with the industry while working as a food runner in a fine dining restaurant my freshmen year of college. I had always watched cooking shows way before Food Network ever existed. I gave up my scholarship and asked the chef of the restaurant if I may learn to cook under him. I never looked back.
