Bennett's Wood Works is a small, owner-run laser engraving and woodworking shop in Dyersburg, TN, open since 2023. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Personalization is free, and every custom order gets a free mock-up and price before I start. Prices depend on the item and size: keychains start around $5, coasters around $10, and cutting boards from $35, with bigger gift sets costing more. I'm happy to quote bulk orders for businesses, weddings and groomsmen gifts.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Tell me what you want engraved and send your design, photo, logo or idea. You can also bring your own item. I send you a free mock-up and price to approve before anything is engraved. Most orders are made in 1 to 3 days, and many are done the same day. Then you can pick up in Dyersburg by appointment, or I ship anywhere in the US.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to college for engineering, and I've been woodworking my whole life. Before starting Bennett's Wood Works, I worked as a technician on lasers, setting them up and running them.
