Did everything quickly, including a pitch raise. Offered to come back in a month to reassess his job for a small fee as well. Great experience.

About this pro

Nashville has many experienced piano technicians, all of whom do superb work. Speaking for myself however, I try to be patient and very methodical with my work. I love music, and making a piano play and sound the way it should, is a very satisfying and rewarding feeling. I also enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and deep concentration involved in tuning.

    Q & A

    • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In most scenarios I charge $90 for a tuning. Sometimes the piano may require additional effort, as in the case of Pitch Raises. Pitch Raises cost from $120 to $160 depending upon the tuning stability of the piano. I usually just charge $120. Repairs $40/hr + Parts
    • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I gather information about the piano, where the client lives etc. If the servicing may be more complex, it's important to be transparent with client as to what the intial and potential costs are. Educating the customer also goes a long way toward helping them make the best decision for what needs to be done, or simply what is and isn't worthwhile on their piano. Scheduling is fairly flexible for me as well. I try my best to work with my clients in regards to scheduling.
    • What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with everyone from tuning pianos in homes, to schools, and recording studios.
Coverage Area for Taylor Piano Service is about 50+ miles of Spring Hill, TN.
