FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Inspections and estimates are always free, with no obligation. Every quote is in writing with the scope itemized, tear-off, decking repair, underlayment, shingles, flashing, ventilation, and haul-away, so you can compare us line by line against anyone else. Roofing prices vary by the size and pitch of your roof, the material you choose, how many layers have to come off, and what we find under the old shingles. We'll walk you through the options at the estimate rather than handing you one number and hoping you take it. If we open the roof and find rotted decking, we show it to you, price the repair per sheet, and get your approval before we replace it, never after. Current offers: $1,000 off a roof replacement and $50 off a roof repair [of $1,000 or more]. Restrictions apply. Full details are at timleeperroofing.com. Insurance claims: a large share of the work we do in Middle Tennessee is storm damage. We'll inspect for hail and wind damage for free, tell you honestly whether you have a claim worth filing, and meet your adjuster on-site. If your claim is approved, your cost is typically your deductible. Financing is available with approved credit, so a replacement doesn't have to be one lump sum up front. We've been roofing Middle Tennessee since 2004, we're an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, and our work is backed by a 20-year warranty. We also run 24/7 emergency service. Payment isn't due until the job is complete and you've walked the property with us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most residential roof installations are completed in a single day. Here's how we get there: 1. Inspection and documentation. Your TLR representative comes out, inspects the roof, documents what we find with photos, and explains whether the damage looks consistent with a storm-related insurance claim or is better handled as a retail repair or replacement. The inspection is free either way, and we schedule most of them within 1 business day of your call. 2. Filing the claim. If you decide to move forward with insurance, your rep will walk you through exactly what to say when you call your carrier, so you're not guessing on the phone. Once your adjuster reaches out, get their contact information over to your rep and we'll handle scheduling the adjuster appointment from there. 3. Meeting the adjuster. A TLR representative meets your adjuster at the property, walks the damage with them, and makes sure the full scope of the project is understood on site. You don't have to translate roofing language to your insurance company on your own. 4. Reviewing the estimate and first check. Once your insurance estimate and first check arrive, contact us. We go through the paperwork with you line by line, confirm the scope, and finalize your products, colors, and install date. 5. Production. Our production team keeps you in the loop through scheduling. An on-site supervisor is assigned to your project to make sure TLR standards are met throughout the install, and your rep stops by the day of installation to confirm everything is going as planned. Most residential roofs go on in one day, start to finish, including cleanup. 6. Invoicing. Our office team sends your final invoice and submits all required documentation to your insurance carrier so any remaining funds are released. 7. Final payment and warranties. At close out you receive your workmanship warranty, your 20-year material warranty information, and a zero-balance invoice once the account is fully settled. For retail projects that don't involve an insurance claim, the process is the same minus the carrier steps: inspection, written estimate, product and color selection, scheduling, supervised installation, and warranty handoff at completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team stays current through ongoing manufacturer training and industry education. We attend industry conferences and trade shows throughout the year, which is how we stay ahead on new materials, installation methods, and code changes rather than doing things the way they were done twenty years ago. We're an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, a designation held by a small percentage of roofing contractors nationwide. It requires ongoing training, a verified track record of workmanship, proper licensing and insurance, and a demonstrated history of customer satisfaction. It also allows us to offer enhanced warranty coverage that non-certified contractors simply can't extend to their customers. Beyond the certification, we've been roofing Middle Tennessee since 2004 and have been recognized as Roofing Contractor of the Year. We maintain a perfect rating with the Better Business Bureau and a 4.9-star rating on Google across 1,000+ reviews. Our crews work under an assigned on-site supervisor on every project, so training isn't just something that happens in a classroom, the standards get enforced on the roof.
