I have never encountered such a terrible customer service experience. I purchased two hours of moving services not including a truck a month prior to our move via Living Social. I spoke with a representative via email and phone no less than three times explaining that we would need movers to load and unload the truck for us. The lady was very kind, and I felt confident all was set up perfectly. We were scheduled for noon on a Saturday. At 12:20, no one had showed up, so I called to see where they were. The associate told me they had us down for 1:00, which was not a big deal, though I was able to verify through email the appointment was in fact supposed to be at noon. I received an email from the company right after that phone call saying it was their fault, and they apologized. The 1:00 appointment soon turned to an ETA of 3:00, and then changed again to 5:00. To be fair, the company had two workers call in sick that morning and they were therefore short handed. Do to this, I was rather understanding for the first few hours, but after a while, it was beginning to feel like a bad joke. Finally, at 6:30 PM, they arrived, and it was quite obvious they were looking for reasons NOT to take the job. They told me they only had us down for a load, not an unload, which was ludicrous as I had verified SEVERAL times exactly what I needed. Further, they told me the U Haul I had rented was too small when it was THEIR representative who told me what size to order. The movers went outside to make a call to the office and upon return informed us they would NOT be making our move. You can imagine the shock and anger that I felt. I had been calm and understanding until that moment. Moving is stressful enough and no one should put themselves in this situation of being lied to about availability. Arriving 6.5 hours late only to not take the job is completely unacceptable. I would NOT
recommend this company to my worst enemy and am surprised they are still in business!
