Introduction: Empowerment Through Healing Touch (ETHT) offers massage therapy in Hendersonville, TN. The mission of ETHT is to assist the client in his/her personal empowerment by re-balancing and reconnecting the mind, body, and soul of each individual through therapeutic massage which can include other complementary modalities, such as hot stone therapy, energy healing, and Thai massage. Unless a client has a specific preference for a healing modality, a blend of several may be implemented per the needs of the individual client. For example, therapeutic massage and energy healing may be combined in one session per the intuitive guidance of the therapist and the client's physical and emotional needs. The variety of healing modalities offered by ETHT is designed to address not only the physical concerns, but the underlying emotional traumas and blockages that may be affecting the physical condition. Through the resultant emotional release that natural healing modalities can yield, the healing of the physical body may accelerate. The client then has the opportunity to step into a new phase of life, a new chapter of personal freedom and empowerment. This is a process that occurs over time, just as the current condition of imbalance and discomfort has accrued over the course of time. The healing process is in fact a journey, one in which the ultimate end can be personal empowerment. Hot Stone Therapy River stones heated from 120 to 135 degrees Fahrenheit are used in manual massage. The unique energies of stones are enhanced and stimulated through the addition of heat and may induce healing responses in the body. Therapeutic Massage Therapeutic massage includes massage techniques based on the current understanding of the musculoskeletal system and human physiology. The intention is to use body techniques that promote self-healing by triggering the body's inherent healing capabilities. Techniques used may include acupressure, chair massage, and deep tissue massage. Thai Massage An integrated system of body work that includes elements of acupressure, energy healing, massage, and unique body positions, Thai massage can help release blockages and restrictions that compromise well-being. Clients may experience increased range of motion, emotional clearings, and stress reduction. Energy Healing An integration of healing touch, various styles of Reiki, and intuitive guidance, energy healing works directly on the subtle bodies and the associated chakras to effect change that may eventually manifest physically. Deep Tissue Massage Deep Tissue Massage is a technique that allows the therapist to go beyond the superficial layers of tissue to reach deeper muscle and connective tissue that may be causing abnormal structural patterns. Abnormal structural patterns may be the source of pain, tightness, and general discomfort. Deep tissue massage is based on the technique used by the therapist and not strength; hence, male and female therapists are equally suited to this modality of massage. Sunlight Sauna There is an in-house, one-person sunlight sauna available for use. Sauna sessions are excellent for assistance in detoxification through sweat glands. FEES All services are offered at the Hendersonville location. Therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, and energy healing yield optimal results with a minimum one hour session.
