FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices for flooring cannot be exact until we have come out and looked at the home ourselves. Often times customers do not accurately measure or do not know how to look for potential problems that may require repair before install can take place. Our products are priced by the square foot. Our labor is calculated by the square foot. Trim is calculated by the linear foot. There are thousands of products to choose from so giving a price, when the customer has not seen the product would be unfair. It would give the impression that they are getting a great deal, but the quality of the $.99 per sq ft product may be poor.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There are always certification classes to stay up on when a company comes out with a new type of flooring. Myself and my installers must attend these class when they are provided.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started installing in High School with my Uncle. He knew how to sew carpet seams. He taught me so much about flooring, sub floor and installation over those years. I enjoyed watching the customers faces when we took the old, dirty floors out and put the brand new ones in. It often changed the whole environment.
