James promptly provided a proposal to complete several items on an inspector’s punch list for an older home I was selling. The project included carpentry and Plumbing elements and I was on a short timeline I order to close the sale of the property. James was prompt and accommodating to my needs. Unexpected additional needs arose after he started the work and he was flexible to return when I asked him to do so. His charge for the project was below the competition who provided their proposals. I recommend James Vanmater and will use him again oh the future.

James is the absolute best. His replacement quote was right in the middle of the three I got and not much more than a repair quote that I received. I will definitely be going back to him for other projects as they come up.

We could not be happier with our experiences with James! He responded very quickly to my inquiry and was able to schedule services right away. He originally was hired for cleaning and fixing our gutters, as this is what my search on thumbtack was for, however after seeing that he provided many other services, and after a few hours of seeing his great work provided, we hired him for MULTIPLE jobs on our home! Projects included: Gutters cleaning + repair + replace Deck French Doors take out and install Painting, dents/hole touch ups Exterior window frame repair Carport garage roof repair Basement plumbing diagnosis and replair Fireplace tile demo and replace Shower, sink, toilet plumbing throughout home and much more! While working on the home, James would provide photo updates (before and after photos), as well as just updates as to how the project was going. James knows what he is doing and definitely wants to provide the best service and outcome for his clients. I asked for recommendations on what else could be done, as it is a home that we rent out, and he did intricate assessments, provided honest advice, and was ready with a solution. He would also give different options and would explain the pros and cons of each option, in turn, we felt comfortable and confident on each project decision. James provides very honest work! Down to the penny! Receipts for all purchases were provided, and he would let me know a very clear item-by-item estimate before buying anything. This was a HUGE help. I was very happy to pay bonuses and extra for the honest and quality work he provided. If I could hire him across states for multiple properties I would. He honestly has been the best person we have hired, especially during this crazy pandemic time, when it is so difficult to find reliable contractors! I 100% recommend hiring James for your home needs.

He called back, agreed to do the job, and then actually showed up and did the job! That puts him ahead of the pack right there. Was missing a few tools/supplies from truck, but I had what we needed. Good work, will call him again.

We had no idea our gutters were full of shingle granules that had been gathering for years until we had a recent roof inspection. James did a great job cleaning out all the muck and guck for us. Very pleased with the results!
