Introduction: Linda Satterwhite teaches beginner and intermediate piano lessons to children and adults.
I have been teaching private piano lessons since 1990. From 1989-2009 for Metro Nashville Community Education, I taught the beginner and intermediate piano/keyboarding class for adults and children at Hunters Lane High School.
Everyone learns differently. I tailor piano lessons to meet the needs and preferences for each student. Basic music theory, timing, and proper playing techniques are emphasized.
Learning to play the piano will help reduce stress, improve coordination and improves your ability to focus and concentrate. For children, learning to play the piano teaches discipline and perseverance, develops fine and gross motor skills, strengthens analytical abilities, and improves concentration and self-confidence.

I have been taking Piano lesson from Linda now for 3 years. I really like her she is close to where i work so I can go by after work. She taylored her teaching to how I learn within the first 18 months I had learned to read music, many techinques and I had memorized Clair De Lune. Now I am working on multiple peice Balakirev's Islamey, Tchaikovsky's first piano concerto Grainger's arrangement, and finally liszt piano sonata in B. I will say this sometimes you have to play piece that you don't like but they teach you the techniques you need to play much harder piece. Bottom line she is a great teacher.

I have been taking piano lessons from Linda for past year and have learned so much. At 56 years old, I have always wanted to learn to play the piano. With Linda's help I am playing!! As a nervous beginner, Linda has been patient, encouraging, and finds unique pieces for me to play at my level instead of just "mary had a little lamb" She has even worked with me after breaking several bones in my left hand. My surgeon and physical therapist was impressed that my teacher was helpful in my rehabilitation. Linda sees past my age and physical disabilities and inspires me.

Mrs. Linda has taught me a lot of things about the piano in just a couple of months from starting. Her way of teaching makes me learn effectively and quick. I highly recommend her because she has a lot of experience and will make your time worth it.
