We are a small company, so we have the opportunity to interact with our customers on a one on one basis. This allows us to get a feel for exactly what our customers are looking for. Another advantage our company has is that one of the owners is always onsite for the entire project.

Property Enhancements is quite possibly the most professional company I have dealt with in East TN. As for Rod and Ken I can’t think of two people I have been more comfortable with in a business sense. They came out to assess our needs which were numerous regarding landscaping, ie new plants, erosion issues, assessing present landscaping and how to improve. Equally important, as we walked the property, they pointed out certain plants that I should leave as is as opposed to full scale transformation. After discussing they advised they would respond with some ideas which they did including pictures of plants and trees that would work. We subsequently met again and agreed on work to be done. I asked how much of a down payment they needed and they said none, we only pay after work completed and we were fully satisfied. Have not seen that in a long time, just a handshake. By the time they rounded up the plants late winter had turned to early spring with buds showing in some of the plants, so much so that they said we should not replace those plants which we did not and they retuned the intended replacement plants at no cost to us. However, a tree I was concerned with proved to be dying once buds were out. They recommended a 10’ kwansan cherry tree and after cutting down the old tree, chipping the branches, removing stomp and covering area with sod, they planted the cherry tree a few feet away from the old one. Boulders and river rock were incorporated in areas of previous erosion, much taller blue atlas cedars were added to add height in needed areas. It was three days of work, traveling back and forth to find proper plants at nurseries that were not conveniently located to where we live. What they did has been an amazing upgrade to our property at what I consider a very reasonable cost. In all seriousness Rod and Ken will not disappoint you and you can relax in knowing they are not going to take advantage of you. If I ever need similar assistance in the future they will be the only ones I will call. 5 stars does not do them sufficient justice.

Rodney provided us with great suggestions regarding our yard drainage issues. He was able to properly level, grade, and install yard drainage to our pond which completely restored use to a large section of our property that had become unusable. We accept debit and credit cards as well as personal or business checks.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I personally meet with the customer to get an idea of what they have in mind. Then we can work together to make sure the customer knows exactly what's going on with their project at all times. Good communication with our customers is the key. Because ultimately, it's my job to give the customer exactly what they are looking for. And the best way to do that is to listen to them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had the privilege to work with my grandfather and uncle in landscaping since I was a young boy. Hands on experience goes a long way, but this is a constantly changing industry. I believe in the importance of continued education. The more we know about our industry the better prepared we are to help our customers.
