FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing should be given upfront. In some situations that may not be possible. For the most part price is structured as flat rate. This takes into consideration our cost of doing business such as insurance, licensing, advertising etc. . Customers should understand the lowest price isn’t always the best option. Customers need to look at the quote and see what is included when comparing estimates between companies. Discounts are sometimes available. Just be aware sometimes this may affect warranty or what is included in the project. I keep my estimates straight forward and honest.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to take a look around the whole plumbing system and make my own evaluation of the problem. I always try to meet new customers face to face and gather important information like email and good contact information. Aside from that I’m there to complete a professional, quality job for the customer. I treat every customer with respect and make sure they understand what my work will entail and cost prior to starting work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed plumber in Massachusetts as well as Tennessee. I have completed 3 years of plumbing school as well as three years apprenticeship when I first came into the industry 20 years ago. I ran my own business in MA. Managed two different plumbing departments which I helped those companies to start.
