FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the needs of the session and our rates are comparable to the industry in Memphis. We are not the cheapest but are far from the more expensive. We are usually able to create a package or rate that fits most budgets for the desired photography needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once it is decided that you wish to work with me, I send a detailed proposal of the details for you to accept. This generates an invoice with the appropriate payment schedule for the type of photography/event for which Studio Norwood is being retained. Some bookings require a retainer fee. You then receive a success/tip sheet or session brochure to ensure the success of your session. For most sessions, your digital proof gallery will be delivered within the week. Weddings we request 3-4 weeks unless otherwise discussed and contracted.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained on a brownie camera in 4-H club, worked in the darkroom for the Collierville Herald in High School. Picked up skills working as a model in front of the camera from photographers around the world. Received my first professional portrait camera and instruction from world renowned photographer, the late Claus Wickrath. Once digital took over, I self taught and update digital skills from books and internet tutorials.
