Jerry was very professional, knowledgeable and nice. Replaced blown plugs under pool deck and weatherproofed them to bring them to code. Upgraded panel to code and replaced pool motor cord that had burned up in a storm so that entire motor didn't have to be replaced. He also happened to notice my doorbell was unsafe because the cover had broken and replaced it free of charge just so no one got hurt by it. Great guy. Straightforward and easy to deal with.

Mr. McElroy agreed to take the job as we outlined and was to arrive on last Friday at 12 noon sharp. He got here at 1:42pm and did not bring a meter with him to check our wiring, which was essential. My carpenter Michael loaned him his to use. He finished at 2:51pm and said he needed enough money to get 100 to 250 feet of electrical wire to use when he'd come back tomorrow. Originally he said he would come for two hours at a charge of $90.00 or $45.00 per hour. We agreed to hire him for the two hours at $90.00. However, when he left after just a little over an hour he asked for $115.00 to cover the cost of the needed wire. After promising to come the next day at 8.30am, he did not arrive until two hours later, around 10.35am. He did not bring any wire or purchased materials with him and only stayed for about 15 minutes before leaving us the message that he would be starting another major job tomorrow so he "would NOT be able to return to help us out." When I spoke to him I asked him for a partial refund since he really had not done anything nor gotten even one more wall switch or ceiling light to work. I feel his fee of $115.00 for less than an hour and a half of doing nothing to help us out, was excessive and unfair. He should of NOT even come since both days he was hours late for showing up and did not have the sufficient time to do what we needed to have done. I'm turning this bill over to our project superintendent and he may speak to the BBB and our legal counselor regarding this excessive charge. If he showed up on time both days and actually helped us solve our troubles, it would have been worth the $115.00; but he didn't and it wasn't. He didn't even give us a written summary of what he found, if anything, nor did he give us a written invoice for the $115.00. To this day, I have no idea of what he did or what good came out of it. He left us in a lurch and did not seem to care at all about helping us resolve our situation. Instead, he criticized the work done by our former electricians and said we'd have to tear out all our drywall and do the wiring all over again. He was not at all encouraging nor did he help us make any progress. I would not recommend him to anyone else based on what we experienced firsthand.
