- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fees are based on the amount of time I will be performing, how many guests will be in attendance and the travel involved. I have a set amount of "free shows" I do in a year. Because I have to pay to respond to requests on thumbtack I will not entertain volunteer shows through thumbtack. However, you can always contact me at closeupmagiman at aol dot com, if you do have that request.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost I want to find out what you want. I typically have a regular performing contract and request a 10 percent deposit for holding the date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a psychiatric social worker and utilize psychology in much of what I do. This also helps me to navigate different personalities. Plus I have psychological tactics I used for some of my magic. I am also the regional vice president of The Society of American Magicians. I assist and create many things for the magic community (behind the scenes).
